Terms of Use

1. Using HoliDNA

• You must be at least 16 years old to use HoliDNA.
• Keep your login details secure. You're responsible for activity on your account.
• Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Where you sign in with Apple or Google, their terms also apply to that sign-in service.

2. Free trial and membership

• Every new account gets a 14-day free trial of the full app. No payment details are needed to start the trial.
• After the trial, continued access requires a HoliDNA membership, currently £2.99 per month (or the local equivalent shown at checkout). Prices may vary by region and can change; we'll always show the price before you subscribe.
• On iOS and Android, membership is an auto-renewing subscription billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account. It renews monthly until you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Store purchases are subject to Apple's and Google's terms, and refunds are handled by them.
• On the web, membership is billed by Stripe and can be cancelled any time from Profile; you keep access until the end of the paid period.
• If you've subscribed before, use Restore purchases on the membership screen to regain access on a new device.

3. Holidays, prices and third-party operators

HoliDNA helps you discover holidays. We are not a travel agent, tour operator or seller of holidays. Packages, prices, availability and descriptions come from third-party operators and search sources and are indicative only — they can change or be withdrawn at any time. Always check the operator's own site before booking.

Any booking you make is a contract between you and the operator, governed by their terms. We're not responsible for their services, cancellations, refunds or ATOL/ABTA protection.

Price alerts are provided as a convenience and may be delayed or inaccurate. Don't rely on them as the sole basis for a booking decision.

4. AI-generated content

Trip plans and some descriptions are generated by AI from your preferences. They can be incomplete or wrong — for example about opening times, visa rules, safety or costs. Treat them as inspiration, verify important details independently, and use your own judgement.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, copy, resell or redistribute HoliDNA content or data, or use automated tools to access the Service.
• Reverse engineer, interfere with or attempt to bypass any security or subscription controls.
• Upload anything unlawful, offensive or that infringes someone else's rights (including profile photos).
• Use HoliDNA for anything unlawful or in breach of these Terms.

6. Your content and our content

You keep ownership of content you add (such as a profile photo) and give us a licence to store and display it to run the Service. HoliDNA, its logo, design, software and curated content belong to us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Destination photography is provided under licence from Unsplash and its photographers.

7. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to HoliDNA or other users. Store subscriptions must still be cancelled with Apple or Google.

8. Disclaimers and liability

HoliDNA is provided "as is". We don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free or that any holiday will be available at the price shown.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud. Otherwise, our total liability to you for all claims relating to the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. We're not liable for indirect losses, or for losses arising from bookings with third-party operators.

If you're a consumer, you have statutory rights that these Terms don't affect.

9. Changes

We may update HoliDNA and these Terms from time to time. If a change materially affects you we'll give reasonable notice in the app or by email. Continuing to use HoliDNA after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except that if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
